Barcelona Urban Design project is a design inquiry from the smallest scale of people and phenomenological events to understand life in cities and design support for the City of Barcelona’s Agency of Urban Ecology.
I spent 6 weeks in the 22@ district in Barcelona living, thinking and learning the Ildefons Cerda’s planned grid. The most apparent problematic experience was the noise pollution in the city. Through on site data collection and analysis, our team of 3 came up with a physically and mentally healthier solution for a high density urban area.
